The expenditure budget

In 2009, the German-speaking Community will spend over 195 million EUR. The chart shows the German-speaking Community’s priorities as regards expenditure.


The German-speaking Community divides up its budget plan into seven main organic divisions (OD).

  • OD 01: Parliament of the German-speaking Community
  • OD 10: Government of the German-speaking Community
  • OD 20: Ministry of the German-speaking Community
  • OD 30: Education, training, employment creation
  • OD 40: Youth education, adult training, culture, sport, tourism
  • OD 50: Family, the elderly, health and social matters
  • OD 60: Treasury of the German-speaking Community.

The expenditure budget is composed of an expenditure assessment for a defined fiscal year. The Parliament allows the Government to spend money in the corresponding budget fields.
