The DG in the Greater Region

Alongside its membership in the Maas-Rhine Euregio, the DG is also an integral cooperative unit of the so-called Greater Region. The Greater Region includes the following regions and regional bodies:

• Lorraine,
• the Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg,
• Rhineland Palatinate,
• Saarland,
• the Wallonian Region / French Community,
• and the DG.

Cooperation within the Greater Region for the welfare and benefit of its 11 million citizens takes place in the important fields of economics, tourism, culture and social development. In this sense the goals of the Greater Region are similar to those of the Maas-Rhine Euregio.
